Despite deadly fire, Burrabazar ignores safety norms as illegal encroachments persist in buildings | Watch

A few days ago, a fire broke out in a hotel in Burrabazar’s Machhua area, resulting in the death of 15 people. Despite this, there has been little awareness or corrective action in Burrabazar. Many residential buildings in the area have been converted into godowns. Whether it’s staircases or courtyards, illegal encroachments are everywhere—blocked by either parked vehicles or bundles of clothes.
